not the Leafs
Rangers and Leafs eliminated so I’m 😊
Isles beat fla. cats twice in playoffs and cats went through some tough times including a stretch from '97 to '16 when cats only made the playoffs twice.
vgk on the other hand are in the playoffs for the fifth time in their six seasons thanks to bettman giving vgk the best expansion list ever to pick from as well as a free cap to work with.
And comparing that to post-expansion '70's teams like isles that were forced to start from scratch that doesn't seem fair vgk got a startup boost like no other expansion team. And a cup win in year six would beat the flyers 7 years and isles 8 years it took to win the cup. Oil thanks to beating the merger rules to keep gretz and claim messier won cup in year six. So if i had to pick one i would pick FLA.
SAD FACT-the winner of this cup, a first time winner, will be the 18th different team to hoist the cup since isles finished the four peat 40 years ago.
And jpg should have moved at tdl and should be moved soon before he has no trade value but in typical lou form vet jpg will be held onto like fine china.
