I think, on that sad day, people are going to say similar things about Shane that they say about Bobby Eaton. The only person I've heard him not like is HBK and by the sound of it, that's overwhelmingly justified. I totally agree with the NWA/WCW back in the day and I think that was the downfall. I loved WCW because they were wrestling AND telling a story. Eventually, they all had to get characters and, once a boob job was a pre-requisite, I've never liked what wrestling has done with women.
WCW buried him and Steamboat, they were getting to much baby face pops from the top guys at that time. They get looked over when conversations come up about greatest tag teams!

This guy i a great personality and seems very genuine and goes the extra mile to not smear or slander other wrestlers. I do enjoy a good smearing though

Second only to Sean Oliver (but dude c'mon its Sean Oliver… timeless legend) you ask all the right questions and blur that line between keeping it respectful and providing an entertaining interview unlike other people in your field (I see someone already mentioned Hannibal lol)
I liked Shane's take on Tammy, very few wrestlers tend to have anything insightful to add beyond she was a b*tch or Sl*t. It was a classy response regarding someone he once knew, not the person she is today (or perhaps always was, who knows)
Shane Douglas has a brilliant mind actually, it feels so obvious thinking about it now, but it's true. WCW tried to dish out what WWF were fishing out and it wasn't working. They should of stuck to the wrestling side of things, because tbh there wasn't a huge amount of in ring action happening back then in WWF. Ah well, shoulda coulda woulda

Shane Dawn Marie is an actual nurse. I was in the hospital in Philadelphia and I thought someone was pulling a rib on me. Being someone who knew most of the crew from ECW from driving a lot of the wrestlers back to the hotel after the matches. I knew her and many on the roster. I also use to be the guy who use to bring a little guy in a wheelchair name Brian to the shows and many of the wrestlers knew Brian also. But like I said before I thought someone was pulling a rip on me. I was in the hospital after having a minor heart attack. I'm in the hospital bed. I get woken up for medication and who's my nurse but Dawn lol. That was back when she was just starting out as a nurse. I was friends with her Tommy hell Taz grew up in the same neighborhood as me in Brooklyn lol remember Taz as a little fat kid in the neighborhood lol. But I will say this Dawn looked just as hot in them scubs as she did at any of the shows lol. And believe me them naughty nurse fantasies ran thought my demented mind at the time. Even though it most likely would have killed me after just having a heart attack lol. There were a lot of fun time's at the arena the rides taking the wrestlers back to the Econo Lodge and at the hotel lol. Hell Shane I think you are one of the only wrestlers that I didn't drive back to the hotel back in the ECW days.

I’d like to see Shane do a podcast. I’m sure he’s got a ton of stories. He tags up with the right host I think he’d be pretty successful.
This was a really good edition of the Firing Line 👍. I could listen to Shane's thoughts on a whole host of other wrestling personalities. Hopefully we get another WSI interview with him at some point. Like someone else said, I'd love to watch a weekly Shane Douglas podcast

Major Gunns had a lot of charisma & personality-if they had kept her out of the ring & worked with her on her mic skills & if WCW had any brains at that point, she could have been a really good manager/valet.

WWE and WCW didn’t use him properly and I believe if he went back to WWE during the Invasion angle he could’ve had some great matches with The Rock, Stone Cold, Angle and Jericho or used as a manager for a few guys from WCW that didn’t have the speaking ability to get them over
