WOWsa!!! The coaching carousel is going fast now–shocked that the Predators fired Hynes but I like the hire of Brunette-wish him ell with the Preds. Capitals hire Carberry, which I hope works out well for them after missing the playoffs last season.
Laviolette being canned in DC not a surprise…..time for a change. I wonder if Caps as currently constructed have run their course…not sure the team as it currently stands can be as competitive as in Ovi's prime (heck….he seems in his prime every season…😁) BUT Ovi can't do it alone!!
Nashville should be in retool mode with Trotz taking over GM duties. They've still got some decent talent but need to make some additions to keep that team competitive.
The next Jared bednar if the caps do it right

I don't think Hynes deserved to get fired. He's doing his best with a very average roster.
Caps fan here. I’ve not been satisfied with our coaching since Trotz left. I liked Lavi ok but happy to get someone new.
Why did the Leafs not hire Carbery to replace our lame duck coach.
Leafs may have just lost Keefe's replacement. Looked like Hynes was safe in Nashville, which kind of surprised me. Trotz was a d minded coach, so bringing in Brunette (more of an o minded coach) is a surprise. Good move by the Preds. They snagged him before anyone else did. Maybe he can get Duchene and Johansson's butts in gear. Lot of vacancies right now.. NYR, CBJ, Anaheim, Calgary, maybe Toronto, maybe Ottawa… Interesting times ahead.
I thought Matthews, Marner, Tavares, Nylander and Rielly were responsible for the Leafs Power Play but apparently it's Spencer Cadbury or something?
Watched 60+ games last year and never heard of him. I'm sure he'll be missed.
No where but Toronto is it news when an intern leaves the organization. Who will get Mitch coffee at practice with Spencer gone?
