    So sorry for the loss Shannon. Stars would have been better off sitting Benn and playing with an empty net and an extra attacker. You have shown us the love, though, for all the other teams and the game itself. As Chicago fan, we have been rooting for Florida and have the RAT altar to prove it! Thank you so much for what you do rain or shine.

    As a jets fan, I wouldn’t mind if Vegas won because at least we got beat by the Stanley Cup champions. On the other hand I really don’t want Vegas to win because I don’t like how they treat their veteran players.

    Florida is playing amazing hockey and I wouldn’t mind if they won the cup. Maurice would win his first.

    I saw a short clip of video where DeBoer was giving a pep talk. He said something like "we deserve one". What a miserably poor choice of words. NOBODY deserves NOTHING! You gotta go out and fight for it. Props to Bruce Cassidy for putting together winning effort.

    I wanted Dallas to come back for Pavelski's sake. It's a shame that it came to this. Hopefully he has another year or two left in him to finally get his deserved ring, with whatever team.

    That said I am super hyped for this finals. As an Avs fan I can't bring myself to cheer for Vegas, so…bring on the rubber rats, Florida. 🙂

    Not a Stars fan, but all aboard the Florida Panthers hype train! Hope they will beat the Vegas High Rollers.

    Dallas Stars are a great team and have some key pieces locked in for cheap and short contracts and they need to capitalize on those before they need to re-sign them. Benn and Seguin seem like non factors on the team and if the team could shed all or even some of that cap, they'd be a cup favorite for sure.

    I'm sorry your team lost, Shannon. I've got to admit though that I'm looking forward to the Finals and the knowledge that there's going to be a first time Stanley Cup champion this year, regardless of who wins. Should be a great series.

    Team sure seemed to have more aggression and speed when Benn was out. It's as if his attitude might just drag the team down? But, we cannot take anything away from Vegas, they played great. Unfortunately, I won't get to see the Stanley Cup series since my streaming service doesn't carry TBS/TNT stations. So, I'll be depending on THG recaps to follow the series.

    Time for Seguin and Benn to go. Benn is up in 2025, so you may be able to offload him, but Seguin isn’t up until 2027. Poor Dallas.

    Was pulling for Pav's. Dallas gives me gas for the few years I been paying attention to the team. I never cared for Benn as captain but that's just me. Deboer still doing same shit. Two teams fighting for their first cup is pretty cool. Going to be a banger for sure

    It wouldn't be right in this crazy postseason to NOT have this final. Channeling Michael Keaton, if we're gonna get nuts, "LET'S GET NUTS." A hockey fan eats this up. Someone is winning their first Stanley Cup. Bring it on.

    As a Sabres fan, I’m excited to see Eichel and Reinhart facing off against each other in the final. Who would have thought when they were traded 2 years ago that they would be making it to the finals so quickly. Happy for them that they can finally showcase how good they both are.

    I like Stone, but that's a dumb answer. The Clarence Campbell bowl isn't the one you want, but you can't win the Stanley Cup without winning the Clarence Campbell Bowl.

    Great recap, Hockey Guy! As a new Kraken fan, I realized that “winning” is all a matter of expectations and perspective. They were the third worst team in the NHL first season. Now they are the third best in the Western Conference! That’s quite an improvement and lots of winning! We beat the best team from last year. That’s quite a confidence boost for this new team. Dallas Stars is the third best team in the NHL right now. That’s pretty great! At the same time, I do understand the “that’s not how this works” vibe when there’s only one Stanley Cup winner per season. For me, this is how I enjoy being a fan and minimize disappointment.
