I wonder how much the Leaf's top three would be paid by other teams, keeping in mind that 50% of NHL clubs lose money. Only 10 players in the league make more than $10 Million. Three of them play for the Buds. As for Dubas, he would be crazy not to take the Fenway job.
Since when did Dubas become a "whiz kid"? He's had 5 years with some of the most talented forwards in the league and where has he gotten the team? Nowhere special. He can't manage his budget and he couldn't even manage his own contract negotiations. Kiss him goodbye and good luck to whoever overpays him next.

Dubas made more mistakes than good moves. Acquiring Murray was an unnecessary mistake. Leafs could have had these goaltenders. Alexandar Georgiev was traded to the Colorado Avalanche by the New York Rangers for a third- and fifth-round pick in the 2022 Upper Deck NHL Draft, and a third-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. Adin Hill was acquired by the Vegas Golden Knights in a trade with the San Jose Sharks for a fourth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. Also McCabe was not as good as was advertised.
