  1. Parayko was injured last year, with two rookie defenders in Walman and Mikkola finding their way in the NHL. Krug was brought in, and without a healthy Parayko, he looked lost. Blues lost Gunnerson too on D….I'm certain the defensive corps, now healthy and a little more seasoned will be much better. You're overlooking them.

  2. You guys are nuts if you think the Blues are finishing 6th…they struggled last year with consistency, but they had a ton of injuries. The year before that, they were first in the west before covid shut down the season, year before that they won the cup. Guess we'll see what happens, but I think they prefer to be underdogs.

  3. Tarasenko wanted to be traded because of the medical issues and not being named the captain of the team.

  4. You really should consider that half of the team was injured for most of last season. Blues will return to form and place 2nd in the central behind Colorado. 6th is frankly offensive.

  5. The Blues had over 380 man games lost last year. Parayko wasn’t healthy all year, Tarasenko missed half the year, Thomas was hurt, Bozak was hurt. You can base this current team off of last year. I think the Blues will give Colorado a run honestly. Kyrou and Thomas could both breakout and a few young guys can step up this year with Perunovich, Kostin, and Neighbors

  6. Cant take this show seriously if they preview the Blues and dont discuss Jordan Kyrou and Robert Thomas

  7. People knock the Blues for last season, but they were literally second in the entire league in man games lost. They were HAMMERED with injuries all season long, and it impacted everything for them. By the time the playoffs arrived, they had three literal AHL players on defense, and their leading scorer was out with a Covid Breakthrough case. Literally NOTHING went right for them last year, and now everyone thinks they're some bad team who won't sniff the playoffs. With the depth and skill this team has, I think they'll be no worse than 3rd. And they've got a major chip on their shoulder this year as well; they won't be fun to play against.

  8. The Blues won in 2019 by not being scored on, the opposite of Toronto

O'Reilly had as much passion for stopping a puck and back checking as he did scoring

  9. Binnington had a .899 not .750. you guys hate on him too much just because of the antics. you’re only looking at the numbers and don’t see the actual play. he isn’t the problem, the defense in front of him has gotten worse and covid seasons have made it more challenging to judge a player’s actual skill

  10. Top to bottom I think this team is better than the Wild, except for Kaprizov. Do we really think that they are worse in the standings?

  11. 6th in the division is absurd. you guys should really start watching teams other than the leafs. You might learn what winning hockey looks like. Bennington is the most intense athlete since Michael Jordan. Its funny that people don't realize that when he does things like trying to fight, he is just trying to fire the team up. It really seems like you are three guys that have never played a sport before. Blues finish 2nd in the division unless Bennington gets injured.

  12. The Blues lost more than Petro, Schwartz, and Dunn. We’ve also lost Steen and Bou, who were HUGE for our team defense. Bou was our best defensemen during our cup run

  13. Pietrangelo, Bouwmeester… Since Bouw went down the Blues haven't been the same. Add losing Petro and its a leap to expect the same results. I hope I'm wrong

  14. I’m tired of hearing everyone say they are letting all of these guys go from the cup they haven’t gotten it done since and the blues are changing the way they play the blues have an elite top 9 so stop disrespecting

  15. This is a bad take, I really don't see the blues as worse than Nashville or Chicago. Coming from a guy who was there at game 4 for that Colorado sweep, it still isn't that bad.
Peruneovich, mikkola, and somewhat jake walman are gonna be fine on D, which is our only weakness. The biggest factor is terasenko, binnington hasn't been bad yet, bad games every once in a while but not a bad season. He tanked in the playoffs but we had nobody in front of him.
Our forewards are incredible and only going to get better, with kyrou, teresenko, schenn, saad, perron, O'Reilly, and players who can play up there like barbrashev and sundquvist. The only real question mark is our defense, but like, parayko is gonna bounce back, Faulk was incredible and Krug was himself.
    6th was too low.

    Still love you guys tho

  16. 6th???? You're just being disrespectful or auditioning for NBC. Awful takes, Boys.

  17. It’s pretty clear Tarasenko and Craig Berube’s approach have often been at loggerheads. I honestly think that’s the tension. Tarasenko can be selfish with the puck and also “not skate to it” according to Berube.

Also – any coincidence the Blues have Pat Maroon for a year… they win their 1st Stanley Cup and he goes on to win it for Tampa. There are a lot of intangibles to be said for being a good “locker room” guy.

Not to be too sappy about it, but team culture is huge. I think they take 4th at best. I hope I’m wrong.

  18. Binnington threw those punches because the Blues don't have an enforcer. We need a big D man like a Pronger to step up.

  19. Casually tossing aside adding Buchnevich and Saad, not recognizing the massive injury problems on defense and the forward group. Not expecting world beaters but lmao finishing behind Chicago

  20. I know some details around the Tarasenko situation and he’s fine. He probably won’t get traded for a long long time
