Come on announcers. There were no crosschecks in that sequence but quite a few roughings (gloved hand punches) and holdings. In case you did not know, a crosscheck is a forceful hit delivered with the stick held in both hands. Both those players should have been whistled for the action beside the net after coming away from the boards – Initially a holding on the Cap, with a roughing by the Bruin. The refs let those go uncalled and seemed to be waiting for a fight.
The beantown bears have always been nasty pieces of work which is why they are so beloved by massholes. They will win this series in six. They will win against the Islanders in seven and in the third round will beat the Avs in six. Their only hope for a seventh cup is if they face anyone but the Lightning in the finals.
