Kotkaniemi on 32TP was asked his best Carey Price story, […] when they were down 3-1 to Toronto, at the intermission of G5 he spoke up and said some things, was the turning point in the series.

[Jesperi said it was along the lines of we have to start doing things differently, you don’t get here every year, guys are getting older, says he cannot repeat everything he said lol.](https://twitter.com/NHL_Watcher/status/1663009126811594756?t=aWbP2RHcKrlJVGbFvSL6wQ&s=19)

That’s all it took?? Retroactively blow it up! Predate all the trade forms 2 years back. Put them at the bottom of the pile of papers on Bettman’s desk so it looks like you submitted them earlier.

Probably should have put a trigger warning. I know that series broke more than a few fans.

    From Habs’ fans themselves,

I’ve heard that after it was 3-1, Weber and Price took the coaching reigns from Ducharme in that series and instructed the team to play a much more passive style of play and sit back at their blue line while waiting for the Leafs to commit to their zone entries, then they’d aggressively stick check them and generate odd man rushes.

If you re-watch that series, Montreal only scored a single goal in that series through a sustained forecheck. Every other goal scored was off a turnover leading to a rush or on special teams.

When Both Weber and Price departed in the offseason, that team fell apart because Ducharme was the leader in the locker room again.
