Seems Like they're heading into a rebuild if they screw up again…. Thats why I feel like the Saddledome deal went threw for a new stadium to give the fans something to cheer for and to look foward to hopefully in the future . Hope they win they cup next year though

As a Florida panther fan I couldn't agree more. Everyone called the organization stupid for trading Huberdeau but he was going to fleece us. God I couldn't believe it when they did trade him though
The Tkachuk trade was fine we got an all star defenseman plus all star forward it was fair trade I think Calgary got a better deal. The reason why didn't do well this season was goal tendering and hopefully Markstrom figures out his shit during the off season because last season a beach ball could get by him .
Would love to have Lindholm in Anaheim to teach the young centers after Getz left…..

Lindholm has been an insane value player for me in fantasy. I have him on a 1M contract. He had a huge short handed point me in my fantasy playoffs that got me the win. Love this guy!

I see a lot of similarities between Brandon Dubinsky, Elias lindholm and RJ Umberger. Bit of a random collection, I know, but they were/are all players who had a massively over inflated evaluation of what their value is to their team. All 3 also were/are players who cashed in off a single anomalous season and then regressed to the mean and were massively overpaid for the duration of said contract. Calgary should be incredibly wary of paying lindholm when he pretty clearly proved this year that the previous season's production was an anomaly, and likely the product of having Gaudreau and Tkachuk taking the majority of the attention away from Lindholm. The fact that this also happened despite Huberdeau being brought in also clearly indicates that it wasn't Lindholm driving the play as he wasn't able to rekindle even 75% of the production that Calgary saw from him 2 seasons ago. Don't pull and islanders and pay $8m for a 50 point player, that's definitely not how you build a winning team.

Fans need to stop worrying about player loyalty to franchises. The franchise has no loyalty to players. It's a business relationship and nothing more. This is what happens when you take a game pmayed by millionaires for billionaires too seriously
As a Flames fan, I don’t want to see Elias go. I understand why he’d want to but, my hope is he’ll be honest about it like Tkachuk was.
Kiprusoff is not a good comparator. He was going to retire, he made that very clear. I hold no grudges for “not receiving anything” for him. The return would’ve been pretty small, anyways. He doesn’t belong in this conversation, as far as I’m concerned.
Lindholm isn't a 1C on a winning team (being generous he's probably 22-32nd best centers, so sure he might technically be a #1 but Arizona is technically a franchise..). He's a 2nd or yes even 3rd liner on most contending teams. If the Flames are able to find someone dumb enough to pay full value for a 1C then it would be GM malfeasance to not accept said offer.
Lindholm is like a depth centre on most other teams, I think they should just move on rather than overpay.
