Smooth skating poised offensive defender with four way skating ability and high skill set. Combines size and skill and a strong shot and is rounding out to a 200 foot defender. Has room on his frame to add enough girth to put him at 200 plus. As is Drysdale, he is one of the top five best skaters in the class, and has a top flight gear, and a second after-burner that catapults him against the opposition and is a large concern for them. An excellent puck distributor, whose continuing to improve the defensive side as he goes along. Plays stout and strong defensively with leverage. More than willing to pound attackers with big hits, and use his terrific speed and his long stick to take care of business on defense. Displays the ability to make the long home run outlet pass in transition and dominate by way of his carries out of his end.

Your right. Doesn't make sense to draft a defenseman with this year's first. Need forward depth, ideally a center but another winger is still more useful than a defensive project prospect.
I agree, don't forget we also have Leon Gawanke who I think just signed his ELC and could make the jets in a couple years as well. Plus he is a RHD
I think Jake Sanderson will be the best Dman to come out of this draft but that being said, he'll be off the board when it comes to the Jets turn to pick.
This is a good take. I've been a fan of Sanderson for a while, and wouldn't be disappointed if we took him. That being said, I would much rather if we couldn't take Sanderson, that we take a center. A couple mock drafts have perfetti falling to us, and while it's not out the realm of possibility, I would be ecstatic if he fell to us though.
Also don't be sleeping on our boy Johnny Kovacevic. He could be a beast bottom pairing physical d for us in a season or two.
I wish someone will show this video to Chevy.
I hate to see majority of the mock drafts out there sees us picking up Sanderson.
