With the way the playoffs ended for the New Jersey Devils its clear they are lacking some depth. With a good amount of names available this summer in free agency there is some players out there that can help the NJ Devils. One name in particular is Boston Bruins forward Tyler Bertuzzi. Bertuzzi who is a long time Detroit Redwings was traded to the Bruins during this past NHL trade deadline and played really well. Putting up 10 points in 7 playoff games is something the Devils could’ve needed especially against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Devils lacked players who can play a physical game and also help on the Scoreboard. Will the Devils be active when free agency opens and will Bertuzzi be a name the Devils will look at?

Bertuzzi is sometimes fantastic but he's injury prone. I'll never recover from the Ryane Clowe contract. This will be a key off-season to retain out best and make them even better.

I'd like to see Foote or Tyce Thompson get a real shot to play in the bottom 6 this year, I liked what I saw from them. Plus we have Lazar, Bastian, and plenty of offensive talent in the top 6.

He just can't stay on the ice. He consistently gets injured. That is the biggest concern with signing him to a contract at 5+ million a year.
