Irrationally upset when he was traded to the coyotes

I’d rock the shit out of that. Don’t be embarrassed. He was a fun player to watch and he played his best hockey as a Ranger.

I went to a Coyotes Playoff game one time just to see Prucha (and I think they had Korpokoski). Prucha rules!

Stitch pullers are both cheap and effective.

No one old enough to remember the significance of 2005-06 is going to make fun of that jersey. Prucha scored 30 that year as a rookie, a feat that hasn’t come close to being threatened. (Stepan is the only one since who broke 20 goals as a rookie)
That year was the first time back in the playoffs in almost a decade. We hit 100 points for the first time since 94 I believe. Jagr scored a franchise record 54.
We had all collectively endured years of Glen Sather UFA Spend-A-Thon and been forced to watch the overpaid retirement party play out on the ice. Here comes a fresh faced rookie who put up 30, and gave us some breathing room in case Lee Falardeau didn’t work out (spoiler alert, he didn’t)
Henrik Lundqvist took over in goal that year and never looked back.
Friend, that jersey symbolizes the end of an era we’d all love to forget, and the beginning of one that we can all be proud of. So while Prucha didn’t have a long or consistently productive NHL career, he was magic for the one season in a long time that Rangers fans look back on and remember fondly.
Fuck the haters
