I’d rather have shut down over Karlsson. Watched him in a few games and OTs and he wasn’t as good as I thought (compared to what we have).
Erik karlsson is my #1 most wanted oilers target. I would be amazing if they could get him. Johnathan toews is not the player he used to be but still would be an excellent leader. I would honestly trade Yamamoto despite not being much return.

If Ken Holland decides that Kailer Yamamoto must be moved in order to create cap space then surely there must be some NHL team that would be willing to give up a mid level draft pick to make this happen. Another option could include Yamamoto in a larger trade. And, if these options are realistic, why would Holland waste valuable funds by buying out Yamamoto's contract?
I prefer taking a run at Mayfield over Karlsson….seems Bouchard can bring what Karlsson offers ,but Karlsson cant bring what Mayfield offers. Big ,tough ,punch em in the mouth D man are worth gold in spring…as Oiler fans we can certainly attest to that
