He played over 1000 games and won four Cups in his career on top of an Olympic Gold in 2014. He had quite the career for an undrafted player waived twice in his rookie season.

One of the nicest guys ever, and a fav player of mine. I'll never forget his clapper to eliminate the Sens in second OT from a great play by Sid the Kid
One of the few Penguins in my time to be defined by a singular game. That Conference final game in 2017 against the Sens will always be his shining moment. Miss guys like him and Dupuis as a Pens fan.
4 rings!
One of my all time favorite players
I have a special fondness for players who are undrafted and still make it. 🙂
Please do a career video on Ryan Whitney
2 of my cousins are technically cousins through a parents marriage. I remember how cool it was when they got to go to his cup party in Regina in 07. They then proceeded to the other 3. Always super cool to hear about those stories.
That double OT goal from 2017 still haunts me. Great player.
Game 7 double overtime hero !!! Forever in Pittsburgh sports Lor !!
laughed when I saw the title , thought of the chichlet boys
I didn’t realize this bro has 4 cups
Someone forward this video to Ryan Whitney 🤣🤣🤣
This man sent the senators organization to the phantom zone
TIL Kunitz bounced around on waivers with Anaheim, Atlanta, and back to Anaheim.
Everyone will remember the 2017 Conference FInals 2OT GWG but Kunitz was also the one who made the play on the forecheck that set up Honry's Stnaley Cup winnning goal a couple weeks later.
Ah yes, the guy who murdered the Senators.
poor whit
Ducks legend Chris Kunitz!
One of the rare longtime Penguin players who I actually liked and had much respect for
Without doubt one of the most important players for Pittsburgh during the Crosby era. He played the game the right way and knew what it took to win.
Wow I just requested this video the other day! Thanks so much reading the comments!
The Pascal Dupuis/Crosby/Kunitz line was so much fun to watch. Kunitz probably goes down as my second favorite Penguin All-time after Fleury
A Sens fan's worst nightmare
Blackhawks Legend Chris Kunitz
He was fortunate enough to be linenates with both Teemu Selanne and Sidney Crosby! That is a worthwhile accomplishment!
As a sens fan I refuse to watch this video
Just the amount of playoff games alone is crazy. What a career.
I’ll never forget his game 7 2OT goal against Ottawa. The Penguins need players like Kunitz.
Ryan Whitney disliked this video
Does he have the most Cups in the modern era?
I still remember screaming when he scored the goal against Ottawa. Also was the first shirsey I ever bought.
Pens legend pens should retire his number just for the pens
Hey Shannon, love your channel was hoping you could make a career video on Reed Larson?
good player, but definitely carried by 87.
Shannon you forgot to mention he was the man who single handedly threw the sens organization into their downward spiral
A lot of people were saying the Penguins didn't get enough for Whitney, who was selected 5th overall. At the time, I mean. But I have vivid memories of that first game at Mellon Arena after the trade deadline. When Kunitz and Guerin came onboard it just felt different. You could tell immediately that's exactly what they needed.
Man, he was my favorite Penguin for a long time! I loved his gritty play!
Only a matter of time till he gets in the hall of fame, can't have 4 cups and not be in hall fo fame
Nightmare vid for the old Whit dog
1200 games in the NHL, almost 15 percent of them in the playoffs. That’s a lot of high stakes hockey.
4 cups can't be a fluke.
Kind of makes Washington getting over the hump in '18 beating Tampa in the east final with a guy on the team with 4 cups more impressive.
I'm disappointed you didn't mention THAT GOAL in the video (as others have specified what THAT GOAL is, wont do the same here)
I'm going to send this to Ryan Whitney
INDUCT CHRIS KUNITZ INTO THE HOCKEY HALL OF FAME
CHRIS KUNITZ STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONSHIPS
1. 2007 – Anaheim Ducks
2. 2009 – Pittsburgh Penguins
3. 2016 – Pittsburgh Penguins
4. 2017 – Pittsburgh Penguins
Mind you when he won with Anaheim in 07 he was playing on the top line
I will never forget 2017 double overtime, Sid to Kunitz, in the net.
Pete Peeters career video coming soon
Love Kunitz
