LFG
Am I the only one getting a little emotional now that it’s official? Lol
Yay!
Announce Iggy, you cowards.
This makes me so happy. It’s illogical because my excitement has nothing to do with the skills he is going to continue bringing to the office, but mainly because he was my favorite player by far for that decade.
Random fact, as a dumb kid out of high school I interviewed for a job wearing a Blasty jersey. The hiring manager asked me about it and the team. Discussed Conroy during the conversation. He drops that it is his cousin. I did get the job. Unfortunately my health forced me to leave almost as soon as I started.
“Can’t go into the season with 7 UFA’s”
Music to my ears.
Conroy say he wouldn’t let another Gaudreau situation (i.e. him walking for nothing) happen again. Talked about integrating youth and prospects. The need for collaboration.
I’m getting excited.
Anyone know or think they know when we will announce a HC?
Love what he said about bringing in young players and leaving roster spots open to give them a chance. Need to invest in your rookies. Super excited for the future of the Flames!
Spot for youth players you say Conroy? That’s all I needed to hear
PRAISE SCORCH!
Can confirm Conroy reads this sub.
I really liked what I heard from conny and the team in that presser, I have faith he’ll steer us right and I 100% called it that nonis got the job to be a senior voice along with the others to support Craig.
…hopefully he’s got the *RIGHT* unfinished business here 🤣😬
Couldn’t watch the presser (am still in Paris and busy enjoying my trip haha), but from what I saw on the cp thread I have hope he won’t repeat the same mistakes as tre, especially with regards to his lacklustre asset management.
I’m hopeful. It’s been a while since that was the case.
Toronto fan here. Prepared to be super annoyed by Nonis getting Daren Dreger to be his mouth piece.
It’s brutal. Good luck hopefully Conroy has both hands on the wheel.
