This spring marks the sixth year of Rethink the Rink: a breakthrough collaboration between Covestro, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Pittsburgh Penguins. This year, Bauer Hockey was also added into the mix due to their expertise in protective equipment. While each year has a project about making the sport of hockey safer, this year, the focus was on blocking shots and limiting the injury potential of those forces.

Funny to mention Ron Francis, inability to score, and not the NHL’s insistence on allowing weaker teams to cheat against skilled teams.
