Conroy to be named GM
Busy week ahead for a couple of Canadian teams. Craig Conroy will be named the GM of the Calgary Flames, while the Maple Leafs begin their GM process in earnest. Expect other additions in Calgary as well.

Pretty decent choice… Conroy will need to prove himself still but he is a pretty safe choice, fans love him and he’s been with the organization forever so he already knows the ins and outs… as long as he’s not just a yes man for ownership, conroy was our best option next to getting Dubas

But according to a handful of people Calgary is a terrible organization because serivelli said Nonis bowman and bergevin were the front runners. Almost like he spitballs all the time, is incorrect alot, and seems to be very anti flames

Cool. He’s definitely earned the chance to show what he can do. Looks like all the other candidates really were there just to make him look better by default lol
And hopefully he’s learned from the mistakes of Treliving and the others GM’s before him, and understands the necessity of locking down elite talent for as long as possible when you have the chance.
I don’t understand why our fanbase values Treliving so much. We win 2 rounds in his tenure, he didn’t stock the org with depth for long term success and he let our two best players walk through his mismanagement.
