Happy SaturSway. At the end of the regular season I made my pilgrimage from Alaska to the garden and brought a sign for Swayman. He came over and talked with me for a moment, then circled back later with a warm up puck to toss to me!

Still gutted about how this season turned out, but happy I have this memory to look back on. I’m a lifelong Bruins fan and was over the moon when the Bruins signed a fellow Alaskan.
I’d bought tickets to this game expecting to get to see Swayman play, because the B’s had been running the every-other-game tandem throughout the season. Unfortunately, this was the game they decided to play Ullmark two games in a row, trying to get ready for the playoffs. So I didn’t get to see Sway play, but I also think it’s likely that if he had started for this game, he wouldn’t have taken the time to come over. All in all, he was really nice, and it was a great experience.
Edit: We also got to banter for a moment before he circled back with a puck and he made some kind of joke about me coming all that way on a night he wasn’t playing lol
What a great memory/story! I’m curious… did you drive all the way to Boston or fly?
Fellow Alaskan B’s fan here, too! We hope to have the chance to say hello to Sway in the future if it works out, and I love that you brought him some hometown support!
