Discussing Trade Packages That Involve Jesper Bratt…What Could Happen If He Doesn’t Extend?



Obviously, Jesper Bratt’s contract negotiation has been a pretty big talking point throughout the New Jersey Devils’ discourse. Tom Fitzgerald has mentioned that he doesn’t anticipate much trouble in regard to getting him extended. However, it seems as though Devils fans have heard this story before and are just anxiously waiting for it to actually get done. Since Bratt is a restricted free agent, it’s quite possible that his rights might get traded away if both sides can’t come to an agreement. There are some solid options available for the Devils if they decide to go that route.

    If bratt does end up getting traded but I would trade for hellebuyck…forwards are a dime a dozen you can always find one. Goalies are hard to time come by and it's clear for the devil's who had shitty goaltending for a decade need a sure thing in goalie especially with shesterkin and sorokin across the river. Hellebuyck is a must. I like schmid but he's not ready yet and vitek has no confidence. Goaltending is what gets you to through the playoffs and this playoffs we got blown out regularly. Hellebuyck is a vezina caliber goalie we should trade for him

    are you really judging a player on his first PO appearance (2012, just 1 game)… The most of the team is in early/mid 20s… They are there to learn… Also, the games against Carolina just exposed the weaknesses of the team, they weren't ready to play against a team which has much more experience, rolls 4 lines, and is extremly well organised and coached… You cannot blame any player for the loss to CAR… none… it wasn't the players fault… They passed NYR because NYR was built around 2 lines and PP game… WHY are people judging and treating the players as they failed something, or like they should be better… it was freaking the first time for most of the players on the team…

    Bratt is not worth more than 6.5 million. If Bratt goes hope they get someone who is good on the boards and has a physical presence to compliment Hughes and Hischier (Tom Wilson would be great). Haula should be resigned in my opinion.

    If the Caps offered 8oa + Lapierre for Bratt with an extension, sign me up! I’ve seen some Caps fan on ACGM make this deal and I agree w them
