I was wondering about this but Iāve never seen it before this game. Itās not just the opposite of the home bench?

People in the comments talking about this like it needs to be investigated by the NHL and itās āincredibly unfairā like itās not just a guy sitting on a stool.

Anybody have more info on this? I assume in the past playoff series going all the way back 6 years this would have been a story, but this is the first Iāve seen/heard of the extra stool.
Has this always been a thing, or is Dallas a lot wider than an average team, put the backup goalie on the bench?
