As a Jets fan this is fantastic news!
I'm convinced that Montreal or Boston are soon getting him. Not sure that we (Toronto Maple Leafs fan) have a chance at snagging him. I mean, at the end of the day Toronto's main focus IMHO should be overhauling defence / flanks, getting a new goalie, and in the long run, building a team that's almost guaranteed to win the SCF for once, anyway!
Good, as a Habs fan, I hope we don't trade for him. Don't need his toxic attitude, ego and his willingness to leave every team after a year is ridiculous, so go for someone else.
I really don't think the Islanders need Dubois. We have Horvat, Nelson, Pageau, and Cizikas at center already
Competition all they wants , of course it's gonna be teams be lining up for Dubios, why wouldn't they , he's a great player.
Only one problem , he wants to be a Hab , he said it himself " it's very important to him where he plays when he's a UFA , teams can come out all they wants, but if Dubios wants to play for the Canadians , this is the only time to do it , this summer or next when he's UFA , if he wants to be a Hab , he won't care if other teams come calling, if something changes and he decides to go somewhere else , that's his right ,
But he wants to be a hab , I don't see him signing anywhere else ,
MTL needs to have their own 2nd round pick for the offer sheet compensation. The Coyotes have MTL’s own 2nd this year (from the Dvorak trade I think.) they’d need to re-acquire that pick
Habs fan in NJ since ‘59. I’ve seen my share of HOF’ers,ok players and choices that made me shake my head. What is the big deal about a player that hasn’t broken 70 points. Nothing special about that. As you may guess,I’m on the “why bother” bandwagon. And,if it happens,wait till he’s free—Don’t trade for him.

Montreal is not paying all that believe me…if he wants to play here it'll about the Montreal not Pierre Luc Dubois.
What team in their right mind is gonna offer him over 8.5mil there's so many other better players cheaper I can't see the Jets getting that compensation I'd imagine they get a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round pick if Dubois is offer sheeted and why would the Jets keep him for up to 10.5mil that's insane
Montreal doesn't need to do a single thing , they can just wait for dubois

I dont see the Canadiens trying to pull off a 2nd offer sheet. Last thing they want to do is create more enemies, especially with all the young talent coming up in the organization.
Graviteh if Dubois really cared about family time then he would stay in Winnipeg. His dad is the defence coach for the Jets. I am so sick of the family argument coming up when both of his parents are living in Winnipeg, and have been for some time now.
It's too bad the GM isn't as smart as people like you Nathan or Murat Ates, etc… He probably doesn't even know that MTL could do a really bad offer sheet to force WPG to match and ensure they can't trade him. This is BRUTAL for us poor @$$ Jets fans. Argh. This is very bad for WPG. I already despise the Habs and their brutal fans enough.
Hopefully Dach will be 2C. Getting 70 points in a couple seasons. Then Dubois wont even be needed.

If he comes to Habs it will likely only be as a UFA
I feel like it’s a tactic from Winnipeg to make sure MTL try to trade for him this offseason instead of waiting for Dubois to become a UFA at the end of next year.
PLD is a great player but a total diva. Montreal needs to avoid him.
