    Back in the 1990s, I lived in So Cal and followed the Los Angeles / Long Beach Ice Dogs. I took a road trip to Phoenix to watch Arizona Fall League baseball and the Ice Dogs play the Roadrunners (two games there). The trip happened when the Coyotes played their first game ever in Phoenix.

    The Roadrunner fans kind of accepted me as just an opposing fan, but they expressed their dislike for the (few) people in Coyote jerseys. Even if they lost to Long Beach, it was one game. The Coyotes were seen as a threat to their franchise. And they were right.

    If they move to Houston, I think they should rebrand.

    Early unofficial results show that 56% voted no on the Tempe deal, just so people know. These are unofficial though but not looking good.

    Voters said no. Hope they move Houston. Houston is the 4th largest city in the U.S., with a natural rivalry with Dallas. Games will be very intense. As for the name, the Houston Aeros makes the most sense. A space theme logo with the WHA colors would be amazing.

    Now that the citizens of Tempe voted the proposal down the speculation can now begin as to the future of the Coyotes.

    Houston is the most likely destination as stated in the video and that makes perfect sense.

    The NHL always has a backup plan. I think they'll finally use it.

    If Atlanta doesn't get the Coyotes, I'm content for a return of the Flames, which is a possibility if Calgary doesn't fund an arena.

    I think most people understand these losses are on the players and not on Dubas. I've seen the polls – most people actually want Dubas to stay, but for the top 2 lines to be reworked. Most people want Keefe gone. I think these changes are the most reasonable for the Leafs without blowing it up. When it comes to sticking to the core, especially given the flat cap, I'm not sure what people expected Dubas to do, or what another GM could have done. Would you really trade your 2x Rocket and Hart winner? Would you really trade your 2x 1st-line all-star and Selkie nominee? Would you really trade Nylander, who's contract is very favourable? No GM would do any of these things given what happened the last few years. The fault is on the players and the players alone, although I do think reworking the core and the top 2 lines can setup Matthews or Marner for success even if it means one of them has to be moved.
