How many people in this sub actually think decisions like the jersey and board ads, doubling down on Arizona, no Quebec team, etc. Are actually made by Bettman? He’s not a dictator, he doesn’t give decrees for the NHL to follow. The owners make the decision, he announces it. Him being the lightning rod for criticism from the media and NHL fanbase is exactly why he’s been the longest reigning sports commissioner.
