   As much as this guy is unlikely to ever really be more than an AHL defenceman I am stoked to have him back. Rathbones says he’s the best teammate he’s ever played with and the guys all genuinely seem to love him.

   AKL is tough as fuck, for not being that big buddy can absolutely huck bombs, plus he’s not a net negative on actual defense either, we certainly had worse players IMO in the AHL on the blue line. Probably never more than an AHL option but still he’s a fan favourite and beloved in the room.

   AKL stood out big time in the Canucks Wranglers game I watched, big body and played smart. Love to see him back
