What If The Montreal Canadiens Draft Ryan Suzuki? 2019 NHL Entry Draft Habs Prospect Discussion

With the 2019 NHL Entry Draft coverage going underway, I wanted to talk a little bit about Ryan Suzuki, and what he could offer as a prospect if the Montreal Canadiens drafted him with the 15th overall pick. The Habs already have Ryan’s older brother Nick Suzuki, so everybody has that brotherly idea already in mind. What kind of player is Ryan Suzuki, and what would it be like if he went to Montreal?

  1. Caufield (if he's still avalaible) or a left defensemen before R. Suzuki in my opinion

  2. Well I’m now a Habs fan since my leafs can’t do shit ever so I’d be open to this happening

  3. Would love to see the 2 brothers together but I think it's too big of a reach at 15. Better players will still be on the board IMO

  4. It would be nice to draft Ryan Suzuki, but I think the Habs needs a strong player at the defense postion

A Guy like Thomas Harley or Cam York would be the best decision.
I think they have an higher ceiling in my opinion than Suzuki

  5. At some point you should put real hockey videos of the player or team that you’re talking about instead of random nhl gameplay’

  6. There should be the Suzuki’s line if Ryan plays with nick on the same line and they draft him.

  7. Imagine playing with your brother on the same line in the NHL. That's a cool feeling. This scenario would be dope but I don't see MTL going for center.
I think better options are either Thomas Harley, (who makes me think of Noah Dobson), big 6'3" guy who can QB your PP, Cam York who i'd compare to Tyson Barrie, or any guy from the top 15 who drops. Also, Raphael Lavoie would be great as well. 6'4 right-handed center that I see playing RW at the next level. Would add size to our small forward group and would be a legit right wing sniper that we haven't had in years! He's lighting up the Q right now in the playoffs.

Also, do you see Podkolzin dropping in the draft? He's ranked from 3 to 6 but I have a feeling he'll go deeper than that.

  8. Poheling shoud play on the wing beside kotkaniemi and Suzuki if they don’t draft Ryan or he wouldn’t be ready this young line would be amazing

  9. I’m a big Habs fan and I’m really excited for the draft because there’s so many good choices for who to pick.

  10. Very cool but we have too many centres unless we traded a centre for another player but I don't think we'd trade any of our centres because they've already proven themselves

  11. MTL have pick good Def in the second round or later, Brook, Pk Subban, Romanov, C fleury, Markov, Mete etc. They are all second round or late pick.

  12. Ryan Suzuki is the only player above 60 points on his team, while Nick had 4 other players above 70 points on his seconds season. Nick's number may look scary or not as good but he did really well as a playmaker with a mediocre team, he got more assists then any of his teammates points total (except Tyler Tucker, which is sitting at 59).

  13. nick is a bust
nobody drafts a 74 point ohl forward in the first round.
that projects to under 25 points in the nhl….
nick at 94 points projects to 46 points….a bust.
    stop talking bout dahabs.
