  1. i’m not a wings fan so I don’t know much about their prospect pool but I don’t remember anything about them having any really good goalie prospects? so why not take wallstedt it’s not like they have a franchise goalie in net rn and getting him could be great for this team especially if they get a high pick in the next draft or in the 23 draft both looking really solid

  2. Yzerman also said if they can't draft a superstar player they would go out and get one one way or another.Makes you wonder who he has in mind and when.

  3. I really want Hughes but if I'm being honest I don't see New Jersey not picking him 4th. We could really use a good offensive defensemen.

  4. It's not gonna be Eklund. Small skilled forwards do not perform in the playoffs. Not to mention those are the guys Stevie usually finds late in the draft. By now we know what Stevie priorities: Big and skilled. This is D heavy draft. Next year is suppose to be C heavy. Let's get a Dman and worry about our C next year. Hughes would be a dream come true but won't happen. We should target Clarke. He is the most realistic possibility IMO. Hopefully he doesn't climb up draft boards because if it goes Power-Bernier-Guethner-Hughes-Clarke we are screwed.

  5. I think DET has dropped 22 spots in the last 6 years, but that's something I need to look up again. I believe only Philly has dropped more, so Wings fans have 22 reasons to be salty.

  6. I would Love it if Hughes was his pick at 6..I like McTavish alot to because we need goal scorers and has a great shot, has size and skates very well..But Hughes and Seider together up the road would be an awesome tandom..I can easily see Yzerman packaging the Caps pick at 23 and one of the 3 – 2nd rounders he has to move up if Wallstedt were to fall between 12-15..That would be a outstanding draft already if he could pull that off

  7. Just want you to know i found your channel a couple days ago and I've watched so many of your videos already definitely one of my favorite channels

  8. I wonder if Stevie was In Holland's shoes would he of drafted Zadina and Joe Veleno?

  9. My closed captions has a seizure whenever you do your saying at the end of your videos. Day 577 of still not knowing what Lego says at the end of his videos lmao.

  10. I used to like you videos. Lately you seem to be repeating yourself a lot. Dragging out a bit of information to cover a ten minute video. I hope your quality improves.

  11. Im mostly a habs fan, but i cant wait til an improved detroit team makes the playoffs. a habs vs wings series would bring back memories from decades past. as for this year, i really want to see colorado win and face montreal. hopefully they will wear their alternate Nordiques sweaters and bring back some more old school rivalry. with all the 'other' things going on, we really need some feel good stories and old school rivalries to boost the hockey we love.

  12. So, with all the leaks and speculation, I don't think any of them pan out. Steve is tight lipped and doesn't give his strategies to anybody. I think much of this was learned from Scotty Bowman. Ultimately, and this is pure speculation, I think he drafts for a specific personality and work ethic. When you're looking at a top 10 pick, most of all the skill set is going to be there for what he wants. Ultimately, which player is going to do what Steve and the development staff tell them to do to develop. That is why Seider was picked where he was, and I think his draft strategy revolves around that moreso than skill. The players are in the draft because they have skill, some more than others, but skill can be learned. Work ethic is a personality thing, and some people have it, and some don't.
