Edmonton Oilers vs Vegas Golden Knights finishes today and Evander Kane had an interesting sequence with Kolesar which he pulled him to the ice and started hitting him. The NHL playoffs round 2 resumes tomorrow!
I only know from watching boxing they stop a fight when one fighter can no longer defend himself. With kane straddling his shoulders w kolesar prone he was just 4whaling away on a defenseless opponent. But i guess its the new nhl "hockey is for everyone" moment. Kane has some weird mental thing w vegas, he never does anything but engages anyway. Good for him i guess, he s finally on a team that can beat VGK while he can do stuff like this during a 5-1 game As for VGK, they deserve all the ridicule they are getting. Took the night off and now they are not only staring at a long grueling series, may already have lost it.
I like Evander Kane. I think he was a good choice to bring to the Oilers team. He's a good player, takes no shit and takes no prisoners. Sure, he's caused some trouble on (and off) the ice but thats because he plays with intensity and fire. Go Kane Go!
Hey dude Obviously you haven't followed Evander Kane journey since being drafted by Winnipeg where he wore out his welcome from players and management. They got rid of him to I think New Jersey where his antics again warranted a trade to San Jose where again his self-centered activities inc, domestic abuse and a huge debt from gambling forced the Sharks to give up on him. That's 3 strikes. However the morally bankrupt Edmonton took a flyer on him at the expense of bringing along a much more desering young player. He is obviously a good player but to reward him for being a goon is reprehensible, the rule of punching someone while laying on the ice is another example of his goofiness. When Edmonton picked him up l stopped cheering for them. Go Vegus Go. The voice of reason and common sense.
I'm huge fan of the violence in hockey and I do enjoy the increased intensity in the playoffs. But throwing punches when a man is down crosses the line of the code. Even the greatest of fighters in hockey know when to throw them and when not to throw them. Kane just proved again he is a no class loser and an embarrassment to the game of hockey.
Kane couldve destroyed him. Went easy on him but let him feel a couple in the ribs still. Kolesar literally grabbed him from behind first. I wasnt sure when the Oilers signed Kane but hes been such a good teammate and a class act. He does alot for the fans and less fortunate as well!

That was not a "fight" that was an attack from behind ending with a player getting punched multiple times while on the ground, he did him dirty… If Kane wanted to square up with the guy that would be one thing, what he did was another and could very arguably be an attempt to injure
