Recap of Stars vs Kraken Game Six

This game really comes down to Seattle being faster, more prepared and seemingly wanting it more. Now we go back to Dallas for game seven on Monday.

  1. Shannon teams you cheer for as of now are 1-4 in games they can clinch a series.

Dallas clinched their series in game 6 against Minnesota. So that’s a win.

  2. I’ll always have a soft spot for Seattle. Their first season was the season I got into hokey.

  3. Impressed as I am about the Kraken, Grubi in particular, a big part of me wants Dallas to win it all for Pavelski. He deserves it.

  4. I'd be interested in a video from you discussing the idea of national TV broadcasts being "biased" for one team or another. There's a lot of complaining from the Kraken subreddit about both ESPN and TBS being pro-Dallas (and pro-Colorado in the previous round). There definitely seems to be times during tonight's game where the ESPN crew seemed to call the game like Dallas was in the spotlight even though they were down multiple goals, but I also think there might be some persecution complex stuff going on there too. Would be curious to hear your thoughts as a Dallas fan and as a consumer of the NHL product in general.

  5. 0-5 soon.

you should kraken bandwagon if the stars lose.

Final four of kraken Vegas, canes, cats

    Finals kraken/cats.

Champs kraken (okay maybe not but Florida would be cool becaus Luongo).

  6. As we stood with everyone else for pretty much the whole game wearing ear plugs AND noise-cancelling headphones, screaming our heads off and waving our towels i looked around and then smiled up to the rafters of CPA, and to Roger Neilson. That was without doubt the loudest continuous sellout crowd I've ever experienced. Our ears are still ringing and we're hoarse now and still wound up and floating on the win. It'll be a very quiet trip home tomorrow, but our smiles will tell the story. By the way, my wife of 42 years is finally a hockey fan. Result!

  7. Kraken isn't that good…Dallas just is that bad. They are pleying very sloppy. Oettingers been horrible, defenders dont help him too much though. It's a miracle this Stars team made it past round one.

  8. More disappointed in the Stars than I'm impressed with the Kracken. The Stars have had issues with slow, disinterested and unengaged starts all year and it generally cost them games just like this one did. However the real story here has been Otter and his performance in this series. He's allowed 5,6 & 4 goals in the three loses but it's his sv% that is actually worse than the goals allowed. This is definitelynot the guy from last year or the one from the first month of the season before getting injured. They cannot hope to win this series or the next with those numbers especially with Robo unable to score goals, Hakanpaa and Lindell being -4 and Benn and Seguin reverting to old form. I understand it's hard to put a team away especially on their ice but that was just a pitiful overall performance. Now the Kracken have the Stars right were they had the Avs and they're going to bring the house at them so the Stars better man up and deliver or start setting tee times.

  9. If Seattle manages to win game 7 and Vegas can win game 6, we could very possibly have a first time Cup winner this year. If the final 4 is Seattle, Vegas, Carolina, Florida there is 1 Cup win between them. In the NBA only Denver has never won a title. You never get this in the NBA playoffs.

  10. dallas won in 6 in the 1st doesnt it mean that its 1/5 for the stat at the start? 😀

  11. Imagine a Knights vs Kraken and Canes vs Panthers conference finals. I am excited. Who would have predicted that a couple months ago?

  12. At this point we may well see Carolina, Florida, Seattle And Vegas in the Conference Finals. I’m sure the traditionalists will be very happy for all involved and not bitter in the slightest…

  13. Pain to watch any games from europe, all of the playoffs have been during nights. During regular season there were some games every weekends that were watchable, well atleast there is the best hockey tournament in the world happening right now.

  14. "Teams that I cheer for in the playoffs are now 0 for 4 when they have a chance to close things out" – What about Minnesota?

  15. Not a fan of either team here but Dallas looked super lazy and slow in the first period. I started to get the feeling they don’t appreciate the opportunity they have here. I can forgive lack of talent, I can’t forgive lack of effort. Seattle obviously understands and appreciates they’re in the NHL playoffs.
