If you want to get good at center as a team, recruit a top retiring 1C to train your team. Much like the Stars took Jaimie Benn, made him the daddy of the centers. Now they hold daily faceoff drills for their wings. When you control the puck over 65% off faceoffs, it is less daunting if you get behind because the opponent has to spend more time trying to get possession. Make an old retired, highly successful 1C your Centers coach! Don't bring in 1C's CREATE THEM! It is not rocket science! It's cost effective too.

You have to tank.. that’s the only way. Chicago knows how to do it.
Wild have been in the league 23:years and missed on getting a top 1 and 2 line center. 23 years. You have drafted 3 stars. Gaborik, Burns and he became a star after the trade and Kaprizov. Kaprizov will not stick around for a next contract with the Wild. Guerin needs to totally tank and rebuild and get a coach that will work with young players. Minnesota is supposed to be the state of Hockey. I guess it excluded the NHL. SMH
