[Stein] Lindy Ruff did not think that Jack Hughes was going to be able to play tonight. He’s got an upper-body injury. “For him to put his skates on and play, says a lot about his character.”

Will be interesting to see what all everybody has been playing through. I wonder if Bratt had anything bothering him throughout the playoffs that might explain his struggles.

Jack, my son, it is time to rest. You’ve done good. Enjoy your birthday this weekend.

    > Upper-body injury

    It’s obviously the missing tooth

Out of curiosity, what’s the deal with NHL and “upper/lower body injury” statements? Not sure if it’s common in other US sports but in Australia it’s not really used, they just specify the injury. Is there a reason it’s kept vague?

Also this sounds on par from what we’ve come to expect from Jack. Hope he gets some rest and enjoys his bday. He’s had a hell of a season.

Longest season he’s ever played. Time to take a breather.

We all know what type of competitor Jack is. I know he doesn’t have the C on his jersey but that man 100% the second A on this team

Jack could’ve have lost a leg and would’ve gotten out there tonight to fight one more time
