Brent Burns and Jaccob Slavin scored a goal each on shots from the point and Jesper Fast fired home the OT-winner as the Carolina Hurricanes punched their ticket to the Eastern Conference Final defeating the New Jersey Devils 3-2.

Ik people may think I am trashing New Jersey (Rangers fan here), but this ain't the case. I have to give them a lot of credit for leaving it all out there on the ice tonight. Very unfortunate how their season ended like this (I am very familiar with this feeling of watching your team lose a playoff OT game). But they have one bright future of what they accomplished this year. Wouldn't surprise me if they get back to the 2nd round of the playoffs next year depending how their season in 2023-24 unfolds.

It appears Devils teams that beat the Rangers in the postseason have a letdown the next round. It’s almost like the next series is anti-climactic. That’s probably why the Devils never won a Cup going through the Rangers.
If I can remember about half a season ago Devil fans said they were better than the canes. Well guess what?! GO CANES!

Carolina will beat Florida easily but will lose to Toronto(if they pull a miracle). Vegas is the only western conference team that can beat them.
