Boston Bruins Roster Transactions

The Boston Bruins have made their final round of cuts after training camp. The Bruins send down forwards Jack Studnicka, Anders Bjork, Cameron Hughes, Trent Frederic, and Peter Cehlarik. They also send down ex Vegas Golden Knights goalie Maxime Lagace. The Boston Bruins still need to cut one more player I talk about that and my thoughts on all of today’s cuts in this video. I also talk about some of the players who will be on the opening night roster such as Par Lindholm, David Backes, and Karson Kuhlman.

  1. First just want to say this is another great video and your channel has quickly become my fav channel for Bruins news. Ok my thoughts on some of the roster to this point. I think it is a shame that some guys make the team because they are out of options and would need to be waived. Bjork deserves to be on this team over Backes, Lindholm and especially Ritchie who has looked awful, would not care if we lost any of those 3 on waivers and with Backes would be a bonus and if he got sent to the AHL, maybe he retires. The line of Bjork-Coyle-Heinen was great and would be a dynamite third line, then find that #2 RW and look out 3 lines that can score. I agree on Kuhlman I like the guy, but I think on the 4th line with Wagner and Kuraly he would thrive in that role. As for the D, Clifton is now like Grzelcyk in that he has earned a spot on the team and made guys like Miller and Moore redundant, which is a good thing as when those guys get back they can easily be traded , as teams are always looking for help on D. Two picks I loved especially where they were drafted are Studnicka and Lauko, but a first pro season in the AHL will only help them, as for Frederic he has shown a physical side to his game, but not much else and needs to be in Providence and improve.

  2. I think Backes provides more value than people realize. He's obviously not going to dress every night but he can be used situationally as needed when the Bruins need a physical presence with a good shot.
I predict that he is going to get double digit goals this season, he looks faster and I'm excited that he worked with a figure skating coach this off-season and I think he's going to be a bit of a pleasant surprise

  3. Ho-Sang and Sprong don't fit the Bruins style of responsible, defensive play. Cehlarik's chances are over. The kid to watch is Vaakanainen who will be a top 3 defenceman in two years. Lauzon is better than Zboril.

  4. Honestly, I think Baertschi would make a good addition to The Bruins bottom six, if it weren't for his injury problem. He's a great player that could be even better, if it weren't for his injuries. To me, I think he'd be a good player for Boston. Then again, it's a risk considering what I mentioned. If he can remain healthy, it's a steal, imo.

  5. Great comments as usual brother especially on studnicka. I have a feeling he'll be up soon. As for backes their is no classier guy . I'll be routing for him. You might not get a lot from him but you'll get everything he has.
