A new D partner isn't going to fix Nurse's problem.. His cap hit deters this team from upgrading on Ceci. Nurse 9.25M AAV is more than Hedman and Cale Makar, both whom won a cup and Norris trophy. Let that sink in.
Bouchard will be paid nicely in the off season. He's projected to get 5.5M-6.5M AAV on a long term deal. Where does that leave room to upgrade on Ceci????
Blaming a guy making $6 mill less than #25?? If anything #25 should be playing better to make up for Ceci's bad play, no? #25 can barely get the puck out of the zone and when he does, he ices it.. a guy with that kind of cap hit needs to at least learn how to exit the D zone and bring it to center ice 😂😂😂
The whole team (fwds & dmen) need to play better esp. in the D-zone. They had some major blown coverages in D-zone last night that resulted in Vegas goals
I’m a leafs fan. And literally just on paper the leafs have a better team and of course minus the gods that are Leon and Connor (who I get are apart of team) who are obviously better than any other two players in the league. But at least you have these guys that are just dawgs in the ploffs. Like trust me I wish that’s how the boys showed up for us. Core four was great in round one but obviously have disappeared atm. Edm should easily make the finals. Holland has gotta go for a deadline the leafs had this year with the potential you guys have. But Ekholm was a huge add. Edms not doing close to as well without him imo.

Funny you give them more credit than they deserve, this team is not good enough to win the Stanley cup. Looking at the east these teams are much more powerful
Imo, win or lose, we need to upgrade Cece and Desharnais, , and Bouchard if the right player came along…..Boo is not worth more than 4 million × 2….If he asks for anything more, let him walk!
Did anyone else notice that the Oil were rocking the place, getting ready for another barn burner, all the way up until Brossoit got hurt? It seems like that injury killed all momentum the Oilers had, sucked the crowd out of the game, and fired up Vegas all at once.
Listen you know nothing, Nurse sucks no matter who he plays with. 9 million and he does absolutely nothing. He got that because him and McDavid are good friends why I will never know.
