If he was never planning on coming to North America to play in the NHL would he even bother showing up on draft day? This has to be some kind of indication that he is interested in playing in the NHL right?

Michkov is far away and the second best player in this draft and would have blown out Slaf and Wright if he was eligible last year. The only reason he isn’t the unanimous 1OA (other than the Russian factor) is that the current 1OA is on par with McDavid. If he slips to 5 you turn off your damn phones and draft him, I don’t give a shit if he only comes to the NHL in 3-4 years, he’ll be playing in the second best league in the world to develop and gives us a chance to continue sucking for a few more years and build a true contender. Imagine adding a 22 year old Michkov to an already crazy core. Fucking do it and figure out the details later
