Zellweger completes the sweep. Ducks prospect Olen Zellweger has won the WHL defenseman of the year, joining fellow prospects Pavel Mintyukov (OHL) and Tristan Luneau (QMJHL) as the top defensemen in their respective league. Tyson Hinds also won best defensive defenseman in the QMJHL

Update to confirm according to the Ducks research this is the first time ever a team has had all three Defenseman of the year in the CHL

I think this might be good boys.
We’re going to be a great team for many years if GMPV and the new coach don’t mess up. Don’t let our guys walk, don’t buy them out or anything silly, and this team is a cup contender in 4/5 years. Playoff runs start in 2/3 years. Assuming they pan out, we’ll be a FANTASTIC team.
I feel like all our prospects are going to be so good that in the future we’re not gonna be able to afford them all under the salary cap 😅
