Can anyone actually watch this league anymore while calling it professional sports. It's pretty obvious the league makes up the rules as they go and the refs do as well. It's more like sports entertainment honestly.
It looks like a soft call. But just prior to this Pelech got his legs pulled out from under him and Barzal was tripped in the offensive zone causing him to lose possession. Could have something to do with it.
That was a good call. Close to the boards too. Refs had to call that one. I didn’t like the slashing penalty they called on pasta earlier in the game. Very weak. Refs have been letting a lot go so I guess I can’t get too mad.
It's funny how the refs forgot crosschecking was a penalty all season but are calling "some" of them in the playoffs. The Crosscheck penalty on Aho in the Canes/Bolts game was weak as heck and suspect with the timing of the call with the Bolts down by two.
How many times does a cross-check like this happen in front of the net and the defender never gets penalized? Not arguing if its a penalty or not, arguing about the inconsistency. Same with Pasta's slash, those plays happen all the time, refs just randomly decide when to call it.
Called it with 13 mins left if the Isles werent winning the refs would give them a pp with 2 mins left. The refs in the NHL are so garbage its predictable.
