  1. Why would NYR be interested in a pick that late in the draft for a guy they drafted 1st overall three years ago? As LaF has established himself as a solid NHLer at 21, why trade him for an unproven middle, or late 1st round pick? Stop dreaming.

  2. This is crazy talk. A first round pick plus a prospect ? Insane. He’s not even worth a 2nd round pick at this point. Most I would give up is a 3rd round pick.

  3. The Montreal Canadiens aren't going to get LaF for nothing. I know that He Hasn't Shown Much, but, if Chris Drury were to make That Trade, He'd Be Fired By Dolan & Sather. Let me know what you think and Logically Why It Would Happen – Especially Since All Of These Rumors are Coming From The Montreal Canadiens Side?

  4. It would have to include either (2) 1st rd picks, plus C+/B- prospects, or Kirby Dach or Slafkovsky in return!

  5. Love your analysis on Lafreniere, and would go as far to say that it also applies to Kakko, Kravsov, Chytil, Miller, etc. Gallant was never the right hire, but Drury is a Sather clone, so patience was never in the cards!

  6. The irony is the Rangers in “win now mode” will probably trade for PLD this summer and the Habs will get him signed as UFA next year. Don’t trade for Laffy Taffy

  7. I don't think the Rangers give up on Laf for a 29th overall pick, but for something in the top 20, I think they pounce.

  8. I think Montreal offer sheets him. Would cost them less in compensation. Rangers can't match because of the cap.

  9. Drury needs to be careful on dealing young 1st round picks. Too much time left to blossom.

  10. Why not just get every francophone player, to appease the French media.
We will never win a cup ever again, with this nonsense.

  11. Wherever he winds up and whatever becomes of him, he'll average 3 points a game against NY for the rest of this career.

  12. The kid just doesn't have the goods and doesnt have it in between the ears either. Something is off about him.
