I think it’s a good strategy to sign them as soon as we can. Like you said we could always do a bridge deal if the player pans out. I hope you were wrong though, and that Skinner is here for us when we win our several Stanley cups.
I don't think his ELC clock has started yet. By letting him play in Sweden, the Swedish team is paying him so his ELC is on hold until he comes over here. Much the same with Savoie in the Junior ranks. Once he come here and starts in either the NHL, AHL or ECHL, then his ELC is paying out.
Unfortubately Djurgarden were relegated last season so Noah is not playing at as high a level as the Sabres would hope. Looking at the +/- Ohgren is playing on the top line and Noah is probably the 2nd line centre. I think Noah will follow the same path as Isak Rosen and play with the Amerks in his draft +2 year.
All 1st round drafted players in 2021 & 2022 were signed & are now part of our future.
To many "arm chair experts" do not understand what GMKA is doing during this rebuild.
I am thinking only potentially Jost & Grigs are resigned in this upcoming offseason Wayne the Mane.

Ostlund also has only 26 games played with 19pts as 18yr old and Ogrhen has 17pts in 4 more games played at also 18. Thats a really huge jump over the others really with 4 games in hand.
I think them burning an ELC works in Buffalo's favor as they won't have NHL experience (so you pay him bottom NHL salary for a 2 or 3 year deal). You then have 2 or 3 years not only for developing but also he is signed. His signing as ELC ensures now that he is signed and they can't have a Portillo scenario.

Why Else would a Team sign a Player to a entry level contract to play overseas ? I don’t understand the logic behind this. Let the other league pay him,after all he is Playing over there !
