FIRST, we have to stop the Canes stretch passes along with a quick tip into the middle of the ice that they use to advance into the neutral zone without having to out-skate us, this also prevents us from getting turnovers on the rush because the puck spends such a little amount of time in the neutral zone. SECONDLY we have to find a way to counter act there 1, 2, 2 fore-check, it suffocates us in our own end and causes mayhem and is preventing us from getting the puck out of our own end.
Im really surprised the playoff high is only at 19. 🤔 Does that maybe speak for the point that stronger teams which are deep and not rely on 1, 2 superstars tend to be more successful and so have more games to score goals?
I mean I was expecting for sure anyone in history to have an amazing deep po run with a huge goal streak. Very interesting to me!

I just looked up the starting lineup, and the coach has decided to go with three lame lines and four sets of defense without putting together the most potent offensive line I believe could be remembered in hockey history: Marner, Mathews, and Nylander.
The Leafs are done. The coach deserves to be fired, and the organization should be scorned by its fanbase for a decade. And to those fans with balls the enough: purchase no merchandise, purchase no seat, let the Leafs try to survive without you until they win. Let them love you back.

I predicted a Florida sweep of Toronto. Partly to be a ass to Leafs fans but also I wondered if the first round monkey off their back would come to haunt them. Florida is doing exactly what Toronto did to Tampa, capitalizing on a bad portion of the game but like how Florida shouldn’t be winning, Toronto shouldn’t have won against Tampa. Tampa was the better team overall like Toronto is against Florida. I will say this now, if Toronto doesn’t win this series; expect Matthews to head south which personally I believe was his plan all along given the 5yr deal he signed.
People often fail to understand that often it’s also Draisaitl who’s carrying McDavid and helps him put up the points that he does.

Draisaitl is in full-on beast mode. I honestly don't know if he can be contained. At least, not without taking penalties, which sends him to the PP, which in turn means, he's not contained. He just loves that physical play. He protects the puck like practically no other, and he finds the right place to be, at the right time. Been purely stunning this playoff.
I've followed Draisaitl since his first year in EDM, and I won't even try and pretend I saw "this" degree of performance coming from the kid back then. I had a strong feeling he'd be good, just not this good.
Good guy too. Just likeable dude, down to earth, ever-humble, no matter how many points or goals he puts up. Love seeing him do well.
Best of luck to him and the Oilers in their 33 year pursuit of ending their cup drought.
