does this guy have any credibility whatsoever on this kind of thing? Never heard of him, and none of the sports people I follow on Twitter follow him. His feed seems to just be engagement bait. Doesn’t seem like he’d have any insider knowledge.
I always thought they had an end of season sale anyway but looking at the other Canadian teams not in the playoffs… huh I guess not.
Maybe the bigger indication here is the only players they stock at sportcheck are Scheifele, Wheeler and Hellebuyck. With the way things are now who wants to sit on a big stock of those?
Ngl I wish it was the Reverse Retros (I personally adore the 90s logo/jerseys), but I wouldn’t be against this at all
Worth pointing out that the NHL is moving from Adidas to Fanatics for its jerseys starting next season, so they’re really just clearing outdated stock in anticipation of the new models.
Having said that, it’s entirely possible the switch will result in some rebrands, just as what happened with the introduction of Reebok in the mid-aughts.
