The Toronto Maple Leafs dropped game 2 to the Florida Panthers in the 2nd round of the playoffs & Leaf fans aren’t happy. Not only did a 47 second mental lapse cost them the game..but leaf fans were looking for justice after sam bennett cross checked michael bunting in the head & tackled matthew knies. Knies was diagnosed with a concussion, and Leaf fans are not happy at all. We break down the game & how both teams ended up with this result in this video.

Bennett – will pay
I really pray Florida play game 3 as an absolute must win. Gritty, dirty, angry. Take no prisoners hockey to make it 3-0. If they lose have Toronto having to play a near perfect and exhausting game. Perfect scenario to see Florida win in 5 on Toronto ice in a dirt heavy playoff battle of a game, yet a sweep is a beautiful thing you seldom see.
That Matthews cross check was clearly more violent and intentional that the Bennet one. Bennet definitely deserves a fine buts also 100% understandable for Matthews to get a suspension and Bennet not get one. Really the only part of Bennet’s cross check that might make it worth a suspension is the secondary cross check, though that particular type of play is very common in playoffs
maybe they should hit MT in the hands or x-chceck in the neck to see if they get the same response as 5k fine lol- what else can they do?😊

Marner was at fault on that goal,he needs to just get the puck out. To many times over this season Marner has been the cause of so many turnovers producing goals for the opposition.
He must have a glass jaw …I’ve seen way harder hits.
This isn't what hockey is about or is even supposed to be about. This is chintzy play, cheap and not skilled at all, except for your ability to make sure no ones looking when you do it. If the coaches are teaching or allowing this, or allowing the guys to laugh about it in the locker room, this tells me they got little else to win by. I like the Panthers, but not this shite.
As a Leafs fan, I really have to admit that Florida is living up to their name, they are "Panthers" on the ice. Fast and they strike hard!

There is nothing wrong with the HIT on Knies by Bennett, it is after the hit when he grabbed his head and throw him down on the ice, that should of been called and the ref was right there

"greasing up" and flat out injuring are two different things. deserves a suspension for sure.
Bennett – 3 game suspension for combined infractions. He punched Knies, rammed his head into the glass, and propelled him down to the ice. Then, he neck checked Bunting, which drew a minor penalty and a $5 fine, which amounts to about 3 shifts of playing time for him financially. Matthew’s got 2 games for the same neck check.
Its not even hockey. F the contract f the “sport”, someone hits you in the back of the head like that they should get the end of ur stick in the eye.
Panthers have been getting away with quite a bit of dirty play so far this playoffs!!?? Tkachuk and Bennett have been their biggest offenders with the dirty shit!? Tkachuks just plain dirty crosscheck to the unpaddded area of Hathaways ribs/spine was ridiculous and Tkachuk should be ashamed cuz that doesn't belong in today's game!? Then Bennett crosschecks guy in face plus an extra shot to back!? At least they were fined for those moves but they've been getting away with quite a bit of interference and holding and just about anything else u can think of!? I've lost respect for some of Florida's players…I get wanting to win but u don't purposely try to hurt ur opponents by doing illegal shit!?
