Always liked him, loved his hustle, and he’s a local boy! He could be too expensive but worth discussing.

I like his defence style and he’s good value contract wise but do we really need another bottom six dman outside of hughes that’s all we have on the team
Come on guys, like, seriously… I know he’s a local guy but he doesn’t crack the lineup of most teams in this league. Do we really need another plug in our defense?

This fan base needs to seriously get over this kid.
I liked watching him play here, his pairing seemed to be on the ice with the Sedins quite a bit early on. I also saw him as a Coyote in Vegas, still really explosive and quick to the puck, and even wearing an A.
Today, more because of the the cap situation, I don’t think he would be a priority to nab, what with people to sign, prospects to pan out and Tocchet’s OEL affirmation …
We don’t need another undersized depth dman. He’s a great person with a great work ethic but not the type of player we need right now.

It’s an interesting suggestion. I think he could definitely contribute to this team on the third pair. But I worry that our D as a whole could become undersized. Assuming we move Myers and if we add Stech, our biggest defenseman is now OEL.

Please no, heart doesn’t make up for a lack of size. He was not effective during the bubble, we already have two small d-men in Hughes/Bear I want Schenn back. I pray Toronto crashes and burns but I doubt Schenn comes back after management traded him while his wife was close to giving birth.
