After a game 7 loss to the Florida Panthers.. The Boston Bruins gave NHL fans the biggest choke in playoff history. We break down how this happened, and what this means for the rest of the teams in the NHL playoffs.

  1. Most people I know and sportscasters I listen to all expected this. This Bs team is a bit too old on the front end and it's time to change the core of the team up…

  2. I love my Boston team but they get too confident and get sloppy. Unbelievably upsetting, but the Panthers without a doubt deserved the win.

  3. The Boston Bruins don't have a playoff gear. They don't elevate play in the playoffs you saw it last year against Carolina and now this year with the Panthers

  4. karma. can't expect to go out there and play some of the dirtiest hockey since the early days and expect karna to not give you exactly what you deserve.

  5. Here's the thing. Boston was consistal entire season. They were fierce. But what nobody is realizing is that towards the end of the season, the panthers were one of the hottest teams going into the playoffs. And they were the only team to beat the bruins twice I believe. And then there's the presidents trophies curse. I'm not a superstitious guy, but I think that trophy makes a team arrogant and complacent. Panthers were hungry and scrappy. But hands down to both teams, that was one of the best series I've ever witnessed.

  6. This is exactly why I stopped watching hockey. It's too damn hard to win the Stanley cup! Too many teams in the playoffs that have no business being in the playoffs! It makes the regular season look like a joke! And that's too bad, really bad!
Hockey is a very brutal game! And why bother to try to come in first place when all you have to do is Coast through the season and just make it a point to just get in the playoffs. It takes away what they should be doing and that's trying to come in first place! If it was up to me I would just have the two best teams with the two best records play a seven or even nine-game playoff to determine the Stanley cup winner. And the team with the better record of course would have the home ice advantage!

  7. Boston failed to realize that the regular season is meaningless once they frop the puck in the playoffs. All teams start 0 and 0. They gave the series away with hideous turnovers in their own end

  8. Maybe Boston got a little ahead of themselves with a 3-1 lead and many “experts” predicting they were a lock on the cup. Not enough adversity this year while the Panthers had been playing do or die hockey for weeks just to make it in. Seems like it paid off.

  9. Panthers VS Maple Leafs in the second round! First time in history! I absolutely can't wait for this series! It's going to be very interesting…could very well go a full seven games! I'm a big Leafs fan but I'm definitely not underestimating Florida. They just accomplished a historic feat! Kudos to them!

  10. Do You believe in Miracles is No 1 and this is No 2. Before the series started I thought, Florida winning, sure, and Hunter Biden is going to become a Priest.

  11. Most over rated team in history! reg season means nothing! media hype is what inflated their heads, just a bunch small players without Zdeno Chara makes for a losing combination 😂😂😂😂😂! hey brad be sure to lift that pretend cup again😅

  12. As a habs fans, seeing the leafs and habs choke hard in the playoffs makes me really happy!

  13. My favorite moment of the 2023 playoffs has been seeing Bergeron and Marchand embracing each other while crying. Reminded me of Brokeback Mountain.

  14. I'm so angry I could literally punch someone right now. The Boston Bruins played one of, if not the, best seasons in NHL history. I'm really bummed about the playoffs too. BUT THERE SHOULD BE NO SHAME ABOUT THEIR GAME. They've already proved they were the best team of the season. So FU article writer.

  15. Listen guys ima be straight up with y’all, I do not watch NHL whatsoever, but since I’m born and raised in FL I will support my state no matter what sport they are in including hockey, hell I don’t even watch hockey but the fact we beat the bruins in OT makes it pretty fucking hype 😂 hell even diehard bruins fans admit that it was the biggest choke in NHL history and it makes it even more hype 💀

  16. Somebody inform me when presidents trophy parade is for bruins in Siberia. I'll be the one there throwing snowballs and tomatoes at them

  17. doesn't matter what they did in the regular season, just as it doesn't matter to many teams .The better teams move on and the teams that just don't have the right stuff, don't

  18. I must be alone in thinking the Bruins were overrated. I thought that all year… I know they had a record-setting season with the most wins, etc, etc. But I was never overly impressed. Sure, they were a very good team.. But I never saw them destroy opposition teams like Colorado or Florida did last year. They were ultra consistent; they played great defence and usually won 4-3 or 3-2. Often helped by referees, too… The longer the season went, the more everyone convinced each other that Boston was unbeatable… But I always reminded myself how the playoffs are a great leveller and that anything can happen and that Boston's best hockey wasn't that much better than other playoff teams.

People acting like Florida were rank underdogs seem to forget they've been a better team than the Bruins over the previous 2 seasons and they had a lot of injury problems early this season; they never had their best players on the ice and have taken a while to get going in 2023.

  19. I'm a Panthers/Heat/Dolphins/Marlins fan, almost 35 years old. That OT winner from Verhaeghe is matched only by Ray Allen's game 6 shot for the most amazingly exciting moment I've witnessed from any of my teams. I don't think I ever wanted a win in any one game more than that one in my life.

  20. Boston was very overrated, the team wasn’t as good as their rankings, both teams were similar on paper

  21. How is it the end? They have two capable goalies. McAvoy, Lindholm, Grizlek and Carlo locked up on D. They have Pasta, Marchand, Debrusk, Hall and Sacha locked up upfront. Shed the rest of the contracts, sign bertuzzi and bring up the best players from Providence. That would be Zboril, Greer, Lauco, Lysel, Lohrei who are capable bottom six players.
