welcome to the hawks friend
I changed my mind many times .. Should the Hawks take a
forward or a defenseman? Then I had a
revelation – Byram Bowen is both. His
natural position, of course, is defenseman but he can join the rush, pinch etc.
with moves and a shot as good as any forward in the draft. Plus he’ll play 25 minutes per game instead
of 16. People talk about all the d-men
already in the Hawks’ system and I AM excited about them, but they are mostly
pretty much 70% offense and 30% defense and are not physical. Bowen checks all the boxes. And now they can pair him with experienced Ollie
Maata who does all the little things that Bowen might need to learn his first
year. So, please Bowman, don’t pick a
lumbering Center like Dach or Cozens who don’t really use their size and don’t usually
create their own offense. Also, don’t
take injury-prone Turcotte just because he is home grown and can bury greasy
goals on an amazing rebound-machine US Developmental team. Bowen
it is!!!!!!!!
To bad Canucks won’t have him
