Kravtsov is probably a 3rd line forward at best … just like every other forward from the 2018 Draft with the exceptions of Andrei Svechnikov and Brady Tkachuk (Jesperi Kotkaniemi is 3rd best which tells you how bad the forwards from that draft are).
We aren't looking at the same team you and I, we haven't had such a good future since way before you were born,if I were you I'd worry about talking about picks for next year's draft because I can see thàt being the management's Prime concern now…
New York are afraid to look like fools by Hughes/Gorton the way they made Chicago look like fools in the Dach trade. They prefer trading him for nothing somewhere else like Vancouver where the development is crap.
LOL – the Habs "missed" on Kravtsov? This was a mistake??? I think not. Reality: the Habs "passed" on Kravtsov (along with 30 other teams) – a 1st round BUST and not as good as Harvey-Pinard (a 7th round draft choice). Any rumors about KRAVTSOV coming to MTL, like most such rumors were no doubt generated by the delusional media (the so-called 'insiders'). IMHO the real mistake would have been acquiring Kravtsov!
I agree – Bergevin would likely have acquired this guy – maybe given the NYR another Sergachev – if they had not already given him away for yet another NHL disappointment (if not failure) who was a great junior player. MANY TIMES proven – greatness in juniors does not guarantee success at the NHL level. The Habs have more than enough guys in their 'system' with NHL POTENTIAL but have not had an opportunity to prove themselves – maybe they prefer to give these guys an opportunity instead of picking up a guy who has failed at his opportunities (at least by the standards of NYR).
From a first round pick, and traded for a bag of pucks and a dozen Koho sticks means Gorton and Hughes know how to judge talent that is available. Another spoiled brat that Montreal does not need.

They were right on Kirby & it is already showing that they knew something there so lets not burn the Barn down over this one OK?

could be another puljujarvi. as a habs fan, i'm not that upset. for all i know, kravtsov is going back to russia next year. would we have had room for him anyway? caufield, slafkovsky, anderson, harvey-pinard, roy, hoffman if we still have him, gallagher because no one else wants him at what he's paid…where would kravtsov fit in?
mind you, i am shocked the rangers sold him for so little. lockwood's ceiling is basically what motte is now, and he's not there yet. he's a fringe guy at this point. we could have thrown the rags anthony richard and a 7th if that's all they were gonna take. but whatever. if it doesn't work for VK in van, it probably won't anywhere else in the NHL either.
Me too i dont get it! .. but it think it will come back to hunt them that they choose not to take him. The kid has talent and as not given the time to show what he can do, I'm sure in Mtl with Adam Nicholas and his staff would of help him a lot.

Not a mistake, the habs farm system has so many up and coming players and his record is spotty at best. Harvey,Owen and gang fill the void.
