We look at how it lines up with the Parise/Suter purgatory, and why he is a good fit for this team over the next 2 years. We look at the difference in impact between his first and second stints in Minnesota, and the chemistry he built with Matt Boldy and Joel Eriksson Ek. We move to Bill Guerin’s season ending press conference, and the fireworks that started right off the bat. We break down Guerin’s comments from his own perspective, with notes on the cap limitations this team is facing while still being a playoff caliber team, and why they will hopefully be able to break through the first round ceiling with those funds in 2 years. We discuss why Guerin is right that a “first round playoff win” isn’t an accomplishment considering what follows, but then we flip and look at things from the fans perspective. With how similar the last two seasons ended, where is the accountability? All in all everyone is right in some aspects, but Guerin will have to hold someone accountable once the salary cap is no longer an issue.

Look how long it took Toronto to get past the first round! Then look at Boston and Colorado, playoffs are a whole different animal. I agree that first you have to make the post season, then Cup obviously. It's just not an easy thing to accomplish the latter
BG was covering Evasons ass. This playoff appearance was a disaster w the lack of coaching and leadership. Please get rid of coaches they CANNOT DEVELOP THE YOUNG PROSPECTS and. Secondly strip the C Spurgeon is a nice little guy but NOT CAPTAIN material. Ek and Kirill need to be in the mix. This good nice guy image has got to go Guerin said he needed more FU in Rossi’s game well what about your Captain. Screw Fun where is the give it hell attitude , lay it out there take no prisoner mindset we need toughness not patty cakes
Spurgeon does have guts blocking shots etc but he is too damn small for playoff netfront havoc. Is he agreeable to waiving trade clause? We have all these D prospects. Let’s use them. 20 plus years old give them a shot.

What your really not addressing is coaching,
Dean Evason refusal to play the rookies
Left them with nobody to play when injuries happened.
His refusal to make adjustments in game
Are ridiculous
Playing fleur in game two

After Gus stoled game one that was the beginning of the end.
His line combinations are also again

His structure is all straight line up and down which Dallas showed is easy to shut down no creativity.
Example look at the Devil's and how they come out reminds me of the Russian teams in the seventies!

I don't understand how he can blame the lack of playoff victories on the buyouts… When he was the one that chose to do the buyouts. Don't get me wrong…. I think it was the right decision, but it is kind of a weird way to pass the buck.
And if he's really satisfied with just making the playoffs and he didn't want to make a serious run than he should have set up the team to just do terribly so we could have got a good draft pick. It sounds like he really didn't think any of that through
