  1. Jeff Chandler was one of the best bantamweights of his time. It's a shame he couldn't obtain a fight with Lupe Pintor, the then W.B.C. champ. But, in those days, the ruling bodies of boxing wouldn't have allowed it & that promising bout would have only been a non-title affair. Still, before an eye injury and high living got to him, Chandler fought and beat some really tough guys in that division!

  2. Guy came to pay his bill and was talking about all the ball players and fighters he’s met working outta Philly. Jeff was the last guy he mentioned. Thankful!

  3. Gotta hand it to Becky O'Neill, 5'8 and 82 pounds but making it in the shady world of boxing in the 1980's.

  4. Back when South Philly had two world champs at the same time… Jeff Chandler and Lightheavyweight Champ Matthew Saad Muhammad

  5. How I loved watching Mr Supreme king showboat aka JJ.kid dynamite he was just magnificent loved how his hands just zeros in on the target

  6. Non stop action. Highly conditioned boxers. On free television. We did not know how good we have it.
