The trades just keep on comin'
The Canucks needed a good RHD. They finally got one. He is injured however so their tank is still on. Will probably draft 7or 8.
Vancouver has an interesting core that they can build around. I personally think Hronek can be a good partner for Hughes. One just has to look at Ottawa and Chabot to see how difficult it is to find a similar aged player who can compliment a rising star. A team can draft and develop one, but that can take a handful of painful years.
Wings sell high. I love it! This draft is fire. But Wings' depth on RD is weak. Maybe SY really likes the looks of the top RD in this draft, 6' 2" David Reinbacher with the Isle pick……
I mean the trade makes a lot of sense as the Canucks are looking like buyers this year.
What happened is that Demko did well and Aquilini thought to himself “Hey! We can make the playoffs now!” Idiot
You had me at the beginning, but when you said the Canucks, I could relax
Arizona got draft picks to take ghost and got a pick to give him away
Canucks draft lottery history speaks for itself. !00 % that 1 round pick turns into a 22nd pick this year or worse
I wouldn’t mind it too much if we traded a 2024 first and second but 2023 kinda sucks
Everyone is undervaluing Hronek.

Vancouver must have been very drunk to make that trade.
As a Wings fan I like it. Hronek was a good team guy but Yzerman can't let the rebuild stall in mediocrity. 4.4 mil, a 1st and 2nd for Hronek and a 4th is pretty good. He drops Bertuzzi for a 1st, 2nd, and prospect and now we're talking!
Hronek makes soooo many mistakes. I’m not mad at this trade.
The Canucks Management has been at least bottom 5 in all sports for the last 5 years.
They suck, but suck at even trying to suck to make it worth it.
It's all about the owner. He's awful.

There's a ton of different ways to look at the Hronek trade, but one thing it does do is open up a 7th D spot for the team to call someone up. The Wings have a few amazing prospects in Grand Rapits right now, and that presents a problem. The question would be, who do we keep, and who do we move? As much as I hate seeing Hronek go, it's clear that he was someone who could be moved, and we got a damn fine return for him.
Stevie Y is just a wizard lol no way in hell I thought we could pull a 1st for Filip freakin Hronek let alone a 1st AND 2nd! Stoked!
I think for Stevie Y, he is thinking he’s not going to get a better deal for Hronek. Trade him while is value is high.
This past week has been insane. Like do GM’s know that the deadline is Friday? So many trades have happened already.

Canucks absolutely NEEDED their RHD of the future and someone to play with Hughes for the next 5+ years, they got that which is huge. But MAN that’s a lot to give up.
Hronek is terrible defensively. Glad he is gone.

This trade is so bad for the Canucks that even Wings fans feels sorry for the Canucks.

Canucks made it clear retool with 25 ish age players. Fans reading a rebuild into the Horvat trade shouldn't be surprised as this was never the plan. Hronek is 25 just hitting his prime.
Hronek was our 2nd in points and with Detroit’s lack of defensive depth, I don’t like giving him up without a replacement in mind.
