Unfortunately, I don’t see him taking it this year over Bergeron. But with Bergeron retiring I can see Nico being a constant finalist for the Selke and winning it multiple times over the next few years. He is so unreal and still so young, the road ahead of him is full of glory!
Will he get the playoff bump? He deserves it, tough competition though.

Great nom! Wasn’t quite the best two way this year but he’ll be in the talks for the foreseeable future! Plenty of tough competition too so remember not to be too bummed if it still takes a few years even though he’s developed
He won’t beat out Bergeron this year but it’s awesome to see him getting recognition. He has been great all year. Looking forward to him competing for the award for years to come!

Nico will never with the Selke…
He’ll probably win the Bergeron a few times after Patrice retires, and they rename it after him. Jokes aside Nico was incredible all year, but even at 38 Bergeron still actually deserves the award over him by the numbers. One of 2 likable bruins, and it’s insane how effective he was all year at his age.
Bergeron is definitely winning it but it’s huge for Nico to get recognized
It’s huge from him to be finally in the race for it. I don’t think there’s any chance he beats Bergeron, but this puts him on the radar of many more people and thus raising his chances in the future.
Captain is not only a good leader, but also up there with the best in his position. Gotta love it.
