mcavoy always seems to leave his feet but after contact, not during. is the effect the same as driving up when leaving the feet? if not — then no issue with this check. i think a first year university physics prof could probably answer this question.
Definitely a clean hit. But…. This looks a lot like the Reaves hit on Hronek earlier this year. The only difference is that Reaves didn't go "full Superman" and land on the other guy after the hit. I think both hits are clean. But you recommended a suspension for Reaves….. Almost looks like the Head of Player Safety over at Tough Call is playing favorites, eh? Hahahaha.
I love Charlie, but he's going to have a shorter career than he should. He not only dishes it out, but he never hesitates to give up his own body just to move the puck. One of those players that can only play with no regard for themselves, just born with it.
Nothing tough about this call. Itās just too bad Charlie McAvoy didnāt have about 3 more strides – Tkachuk is owed a fuck ton of payback from a fuck ton of teams. Thereās just something super gratifying about a dirty player like Tkachuk getting rocked by a devastating yet clean hit from a clean player whether itās your team that sends them flying or not.
Thatās one thing I always loved about Johnny Boychuk when he was a Bruin. He was always laying players out with devastating hip checks and open ice hits. I wish he had been able to retire a Bruin, dammit. Thanks for the cup in 2011, but otherwise, šš»Chiarelli! Lol

Dude was getting ragdolled the whole game lol
Perfectly clean hit and was well timed.
A dirty player makes a clean hit on a dirty player. š

Green light clean, no tough call here. Could not have happened to a nicer guy
